**To make Beer Cheese Soup, In a large kettle, bring 7 1/2 cups water, 2 cans of beer (24 oz.) and 2 tablespoons margarine to a boil. While stirring, slowly add entire amount of soup mix. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for approx. 1 hour. DO NOT BOIL. **To make Wisconsin Cheese Soup, use 10 cups water and 2 tablespoons margarine ONLY. ** Optional: Add diced ham, chicken, diced potatoes, or broccoli. May also top soup bowls with cooked, crumbled bacon before serving.
